UAE Participates in NATO Dialogue on Counter-Terrorism in Brussels
The UAE took part in the NATO Counter-Terrorism Dialogue, held at the Alliance's headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, on 9 and 10 July 2026, affirming its commitment to strengthening international cooperation in countering terrorism and addressing evolving security challenges. The UAE delegation was headed by Maqsoud Kruse, Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Countering Extremism and Terrorism, who took part in the discussions alongside representatives of NATO and partner countries.
The dialogue focused on strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise on a number of counter-terrorism priorities, including capacity building, resilience strengthening, protection of critical infrastructure, maritime security, and countering emerging threats.
During the dialogue, Maqsoud Kruse reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to working closely with international partners to strengthen collective efforts to counter extremism and terrorism, contributing to consolidating peace, security, and stability at both the regional and international levels.
