The Public Prosecution Participates in the Meeting of Assistant Attorneys General in Gulf Countries

The UAE Public Prosecution took part in the seventeenth meeting of Their Excellencies the Assistant Attorneys-General and Public Prosecutors of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, which was held via video conference.

The Public Prosecution delegation was headed by Counsellor Sultan Ibrahim Al-Juwaid, Assistant Attorney-General, with the participation of Counsellor Haitham Ali Al Shouka, First Advocate General, and Chief Prosecutor Obaid Ahmed Al Abdouli, Director of the International Cooperation and Human Rights Department.

The meeting discussed a number of items on its agenda aimed at strengthening joint Gulf action and developing cooperation between the public prosecution and prosecution authorities of the Council states, among them the use of artificial intelligence in the work of public prosecutions and the mechanisms for forming joint investigation teams, alongside the exchange of successful practices and experiences between the public prosecution and prosecution authorities.

The meeting comes as part of the preparations for the eighteenth meeting of Their Excellencies the Attorneys-General and Public Prosecutors of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, which is scheduled to be held next October.
