Dubai Police Announces Launch of the Fourth Edition of the 'Safety Ambassadors' Program

Dubai Police General Headquarters has launched the fourth edition of the "Safety Ambassadors" programme, organised by the Safety Ambassadors Council at the General Department of Human Rights over four weeks, aiming to empower youth and enhance their community role through a comprehensive training programme that helps build their leadership and knowledge capabilities, and prepares them to become active ambassadors in spreading a culture of safety and supporting community protection efforts.

The programme was launched at the headquarters of the General Department of Airport Security, in the presence of Brigadier Abdulrahman Al Shaer, Director of the General Department of Human Rights, his deputy Colonel Faisal Al Khamiri, and a number of officers, with the participation of more than 45 safety ambassadors.

Brigadier Abdulrahman Al Shaer affirmed that Dubai Police General Headquarters gives great attention to students at various educational stages by involving them in the programmes and activities it carries out throughout the year, given their positive impact on enhancing security and safety and building a generation equipped with knowledge, awareness, and understanding.

He invited the participating students to make the most of the programme, to submit their suggestions and observations, and to propose topics they would like to explore, affirming Dubai Police's keenness to support creative students and nurture student talent, and commending the role of parents in encouraging their children to develop their skills.

For his part, Colonel Faisal Al Khamiri said that the "Safety Ambassadors" programme aims to develop the skills of participating students by assigning them practical tasks within Dubai Police departments, and distributing them across various specialisations according to their interests, skills, and the activities in which they excelled at school.

In turn, Major Rashid Nasser Al Ali, Chairman of the Safety Ambassadors Council, explained that the first week of the programme includes an introduction to the programme, its objectives, and the role of safety ambassadors, alongside training sessions covering Federal Law No. (3) of 2016 concerning Child Rights ("Wadeema's Law"), success stories, and lectures on intelligence, discipline, and other specialised topics.

He added that the second and third weeks will see participants distributed across a number of general departments and police stations to familiarise them with the nature of the work, gain practical experience, and reinforce values of community responsibility.
