Dubai Inheritance Court Settles 5.2 Billion Dirhams in 2025
The Estate Court concluded settlements with a total value exceeding AED 5.26 billion during 2025, recording an amicable settlement agreement rate of 92.5% (including files registered before 2025), which effectively contributed to accelerating the transfer of rights to their beneficiaries, reactivating assets, and supporting the economic cycle and family stability — demonstrating the high efficiency of the specialized judicial system. In 2025, the Court registered 2,214 estate files, spanning the estates of Muslims and non-Muslims, minors, citizens and non-citizens.

The Court succeeded in resolving disputes in 350 of 368 files contested among heirs or third parties, achieving a notable success rate of 95.11% (fully and partially resolved), while a settlement could not be reached in 18 files (4.89%), which were referred to the competent judicial channels.
These settlements contributed to freeing up funds and assets worth more than AED 5.26 billion, ensuring the continuity of economic activity and the transfer of funds in accordance with legal procedures.
Speed of resolution and financial indicators
The average settlement duration dropped from 24 days in 2024 to 13.8 days in 2025, an improvement of 42%.
By contrast, the total value of judicial claims filed declined from AED 32.87 billion in 2024 to AED 9.44 billion in 2025.
Financial indicators showed a 46% increase in disbursed amounts, reaching AED 4.76 billion compared with AED 3.26 billion, while amounts paid rose from AED 2.56 billion to AED 3.64 billion — reflecting advanced efficiency in fund management and turnover of entitlements.
