Abu Dhabi Judiciary Implements World's First Judicial AI Platform

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, in collaboration with the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi, held coordination meetings to discuss the implementation of the "AI Judicial Platform" project, the world's first integrated system of its kind, which aims to support judicial and legal decision-making based on artificial intelligence under full human supervision and verification, thereby enhancing the speed of procedures and ensuring accuracy and consistency in judicial work.

In this context, the project's joint steering committee, chaired by His Excellency Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, discussed the proposed work plan for launching the comprehensive judicial platform across the full judicial workflow, with its first phase expected to begin next September, paving the way for gradual implementation over 18 months.

Counsellor Yousef Al Abri affirmed that the move towards implementing this innovative judicial system embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, "may God protect him", in leadership, innovation and the adoption of future technologies to elevate the quality of government services. It also comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, to advance the judicial system in accordance with the highest international standards, and in affirmation of the Department's commitment to adopting the latest advanced technologies to develop smart justice and consolidate the emirate's standing in judicial leadership.

He noted that the artificial intelligence platform of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department will provide advanced capabilities through an integrated system of smart solutions that contribute to modernising judicial work mechanisms and facilitating procedures, by employing artificial intelligence technologies across the various stages of litigation, in a manner that supports speed of completion and the accuracy and quality of judicial operations, and strengthens the digital transformation journey in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency and reliability.
