Abu Dhabi Judiciary Celebrates Emirati Women's Day 2026


Abu Dhabi Judicial Department celebrated Emirati Women's Day 2026, held under the theme "We Rise Stronger and Better".

The Department organised on this occasion a range of events and activities in appreciation of the standing of Emirati women and their contributions, and of their pivotal role as an essential partner in the march of development and prosperity witnessed by the United Arab Emirates, and in celebration of their giving and their achievements, which have entrenched their effective presence in various fields and at all levels.

 

His Excellency Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, affirmed that Emirati Women's Day represents a national occasion to celebrate the qualitative achievements women have made in the march of national development, in light of the firmly established approach laid down by the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, in empowering women and believing in their role as an essential partner in the march of construction and development, and in enhancing their standing and enabling them to contribute effectively across the various fields of national work.

His Excellency said that the presence and leading standing achieved by Emirati women embody the fruit of the wise vision of the leadership and the continuous efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, "Mother of the Nation", Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, who has contributed over decades to supporting their march, enhancing their presence and standing, and creating the supportive environment that enables them to achieve prominent accomplishments in various domains.

He explained that the theme of Emirati Women's Day 2026, "We Rise Stronger and Better", reflects confidence in the capabilities and potential of Emirati women and the influential presence and effective participation they have attained across the various fields of work, where they have proven their merit and competence in the various positions of responsibility and contributed effectively to the march of developing the justice system and enhancing the efficiency of judicial work, noting that the Judicial Department is keen to support and empower its female personnel and to provide a stimulating work environment that enables them to continue. The events, which run over a week at the Department's main headquarters, include a diverse range of activities that provide women with an interactive atmosphere, enhance their wellbeing and support the balance between their professional and family life, among them an interactive mural entitled "Tree of Wishes", allowing female employees to record their ambitions and future aspirations, alongside the screening of a short film entitled "We Rise Stronger and Better" reviewing the most prominent achievements of the Judicial Department's female employees, as well as a professional photography corner expressing the identity of Emirati Women's Day.

 

The events also include a health corner offering free examinations and nutritional and psychological consultations, a corner for arts and Arabic calligraphy, a corner for heritage hospitality, in addition to a corner dedicated to children to write letters to their mothers, as well as the organisation of specialised workshops on the balance between professional and family life.
