Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Delegation and Kazakhstan Prosecutor General Discuss Enhancing Judicial Cooperation

A delegation from the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), headed by His Excellency Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, discussed, during a meeting in Astana with His Excellency Berik Asylov, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ways to strengthen judicial cooperation and exchange expertise in areas related to the use of smart technologies to develop the judicial system.

Counsellor Yousef Al Abri affirmed that this visit is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, to consolidate strategic partnerships and learn about global best practices adopted by various judicial authorities, in a way that contributes to enhancing the institutional performance of the justice system.

During the visit, the ADJD delegation was briefed on the technical systems adopted by the Public Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which include the digital criminal system and an integrated package of digital services for managing tasks with high efficiency, in addition to artificial intelligence applications and innovative solutions used in Public Prosecution investigations.

The delegation also learned about the electronic connectivity system adopted in enforcement operations, which ensures the speed of information exchange and the integration of procedures.

The ADJD delegation included His Excellency Counsellor Ali Mohammed Al Balushi, Attorney General of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi; Counsellor Ali Al Shaer Al Dhaheri, Director of the Judicial Inspection Department; Brigadier Faisal Al Hammadi, Executive Director of the Correctional and Rehabilitation Centres Sector; and Abdulla Saif Zahran, Director of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Development Department.

In a related context, the judicial delegation's tour included a visit to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, during which areas of joint cooperation were reviewed, key judicial projects and initiatives adopted by the Ministry were presented, and ways of benefiting from innovative solutions and applications were discussed, in a manner that serves the development of judicial and legal services.
